Roy Whitaker, boxing and MMA fan and practioner, powerlifter, personal trainer and business graduate. I've learned this game in the classroom and in the ring. I've tried all of the supplements I recommend, and have trained and sparred with nearly all of the equipment listed. My disfigured nose and slurred speech are proof.

Pick one. You will not see bodybuilders swinging sledgehammers or flipping tires, and you will not see pro fighters resting 5 minutes between max deadlifts.
Its two different worlds. Both require tremendous dedication, an athlete who tries to go 50/50 will have two mediocre outcomes, instead of 1 great one. There are great fighters who successfully incorporate weight lifting while staying in their weight class, like Kostya Tszu and Tito Ortiz. And there are amazing athletes who do not use weights at all, like Roy Jones. A proper weight-lifting program is almost universally beneficial, emphasis on proper.
Regarding the supplements, if you are inexperienced, shoot me an email before you buy something you dont need. The best supplements are still water and hard work.
Which (shoes, gloves) should I get?
Depends. They all have their advantages. The weight and fit of the glove are essential. Each shoe offers its own advantages and protection. As an athlete, you need to constantly vary your training to get maximum benefits.
